Reviews
Extensive and beautifully landscaped golf course that has opened its doors during lockdown to allow non-members to explore its rolling spaces. A secret oasis of green normally hidden from the public's eyes - lets hope it isn't closed off again for ever more when the lockdown ends.
Lovely golf club. The best welcome committee I have ever had as an old guy with a white beard welcomes you at the car park entrance. Did not play the course as was working but looked tricky in the high wind of the day. But greens were manicured and the re wilding of some of the fairways looks good. Club house was old worlde but well maintained. Food looked good and the small shop on site well stocked. Coffee was amazing and cakes at the halfway house recommended. The date cake was lovely.
3rd time visiting and it's always a treat. Well worth the green fees.
Highlights: pure quality of greens and overall course.
Lowlights: £3.15 for a sausage in a dry bun along with the bar not being open until 11am (thus no breakfast!).
A lovely golf course that I enjoy the opportunity to play once in a while.
The staff are all very friendly and accommodating.
The clubhouse is a great setting as well.
Good food!
Private golf club with a public footpath running through it.
Very nice course. Although they seem to have cut down some of the bushes and rough to open it up s bit. Not everyone would say it is an improvement although I suspect many would. Bar shuts early.
Top parkland course with a bit of character. A solid test considering it’s not the longest. Greens are pure. Signage to the next tee is non existent thought - nightmare for visitors
Walk / ride a little longer for a better place.
Staff look they're fed up with the world. Serve post-mix Cola and rubbish stale cakes. And with prices that suggest it's much better
Super golf course just off the common, when you are playing here you feel like you are in the countryside. The staff are very helpful and friendly. If you get the chance, I'd highly recommend playing here.
Really well maintained and laid out course in very good condition. Nice club house and all the facilities like driving range, putting green etc.
